On Shoal Bay, one of the world’s greatest beaches, sits BeachCourt Villa, one of Anguilla’s greatest homes: 10,000 square feet, 8 bedrooms, airy and family-friendly public spaces, with tennis court and freshwater pool, on gently sloped land that goes directly to the beach. Anguilla has many magnificent homes, but very few are directly on the beach.

The house sits about 40 feet above the water, maximizing views and breezes. Yet as you sit on its spacious decks you are a short walk from the magnificence of Shoal Bay, its white sands and the sea’s blue and greens, great for walking, snorkeling, and ambling to the beach bars. The sea floor in front of the house is sand, permitting easy and immediate access to the water…some days glassine, some days waves, but always fun. Take a morning jog or an excursion on Junior’s glass bottom boat. Whatever you do, you will be on Shoal Bay for the serenity of a beautiful sunset, with the beverage of choice in your hand.

BeachCourt’s “backyard” is Shoal Bay East, one of the world’s most magnificent beaches. The villa is on an acre at its west end, leaving you a mile of beach to sun on, walk on, and relax. BeachCourt gives you the “best of both worlds”: the magnificent views and cooling breezes of being on a hill yet a short walk directly to the sand and sea. The beach path goes through lush vegetation and its beach gate is not visible to passersby. Your privacy is assured. The living room features a full home theater surrounded by plush, brightly upholstered Thai furniture. Perfect for reading (and napping).

The interior dining area accommodates more people than the villa holds (with dishes and place settings for many more). Or, enjoy your meals on the spacious deck, just a few feet away.

The great room is bounded on two sides by a gracious covered deck, which is really an extension of the interior (through 8-foot-high sliding doors and screens).

The second floor of BeachCourt’s main house features two air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own spacious bath. Both second floor bedrooms open to a covered deck that wraps around the north and east sides of the house.

BeachCourt Villa’s West Wing is a 2-story structure attached to the main house’s west side (hence “West Wing”) at the pool deck level. The first floor has two bedrooms with adjoining private bathrooms. The second story (at pool level) comprises a kitchenette and two bedrooms, with adjoining private bathrooms. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and have individual marble vanity sinks with wall-mounted hairdryers.

All 8 bedrooms (except study) overlook Shoal Bay with queen-size beds. Study bed is a fold-out sofa.
