Santorini VV, Imerovigli

Santorini VV is a converted family house, which used to be the prized sanctuary of a passionate art collector. It has been fully renovated, and furnished with vintage and custom-made items from the family’s private collection. Ideally located in the middle of the Caldera rim, at the highest point of the Caldera cliff, Santorini VV offers privileged views of the volcano and surrounding islands. Built, as it is, under the Monastery of Agios Nicolaos at the beginning of the village of Imerovigli, it benefits from the residential nature of the neighbourhood and its central location.

Santorini VV is in between, and at walking distance from, the villages of Firostefani and Imerovigli, while the capital Fira is a 20-minute walk. Access to the hotel is very easy, as the car can reach up to the hotel entrance and the only steps are the steps of the hotel (most hotels in Santorini are located far from the main road and there are steps to reach them).

Belvedere - Grand Suite - Belvedere by name and Belvedere by nature, the VIP suite is the brightest star of the constellation with its large, rambling terrace offering vertigo-inducing views of the cliffs below. Romantic to a fault, Belvedere's signature feature is the eagle's nest outdoor lounge area at the western edge of the property, where the sunset seems to be a private affair. Vasilicos - Honeymoon Suite - The Vasilicos suite has been named, as has indeed the entire hotel, after the two basil plants that have always flanked its entrance, a true sign that summer has arrived. An elegant one- bedroom suite, at the top level of the property, Vasilicos opens onto the spectacular Caldera views and its private terrace which features an outdoor Jacuzzi. Pergola - Honeymoon Suite - This beautiful suite, situated on the top level of the hotel, has always been the master bedroom. It opens onto the spectacular Caldera views, and features a heated plunge pool, as well as the property’s signature pergola, which it is named after. Efta - Romantic Honeymoon Suite - Always called Efta - number 7 - this is the most private, and, some would say, the most romantic suite. Sitting on the private terrace, one can hear the gentle sound of the sea below, and feel at one with the volcano. The favourite of all artists, writers, and lovers that have frequented the house over the years, Efta now features an outdoor Jacuzzi for ultimate romance and seclusion. Daphne’s - Senior Pool Suite - This is the largest hypóskapho, built in the traditional Santorini layout, with the bedroom and dressing room at the rear, and a large sitting area at the front with two day-beds and plenty of room to relax. Vasaltis - Senior Pool Suite - Vasaltis suite is named after the characteristic black volcanic rock, but, more poignantly, after the property's sister winery located on the other side of the island. King Cat - Junior Pool Suite - Named after the majestic cat that used to roam the grounds, King Cat is small and perfectly formed. Its signature features are the raised bed and sculpted bathtub, which offer breathtaking views out across the volcano.
