Located in the Vanuatu Archipelago, off the South East tip of Espiritu Santo, Ratua Island is only a 30-minute motorboat journey from the mainland on our own private motor launch. The weather is generally pleasant as two much larger islands protect it–Aore to the north and Malo to the south. One can enjoy Ratua's lush tropical acres by foot, mountain bike, and horse-drawn carriage or horseback on one of the many horses, which run wild on Ratua.

This mirage within the lost villages of the Vanuatu Archipelago has been kept secret... until now. Ratua Island is a wild, magical place with authentic people who offer a simple and warm reception in a naturally beautiful environment. The 146-acre island is also home to horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens that roam free across the land.

Ratua’s new 900 square foot over-water spa is located between the South and West Point Villages and features two private treatment rooms and an open lounge area with stunning views across the water. The spa continues the Indonesian theme and is named after the owner’s daughter for her penchant for massages. Ratua’s specially trained spa staff can offer a variety of massages, body scrubs, facials, manicures and pedicures using only locally sourced organic products, such as Sand of Siviri, Tahiti’s Monoï Essence and Vanilla Pods of Malicolo, as well as lime, grapefruit, sweet orange, and mango oils. Sunny Spa is the perfect way to unwind and relax into your holiday. The spa is open from 9am to 7pm every day. Reservations can be made 5 hours in advance at the hotel reception or the spa.
