Your stay at Villa Divia begins with an airport transfer and continues with daily gourmet chef service and even spa treatments. There’s an arrival pavilion to welcome you to the property and plenty to tempt you to stay, from the bar, media and games rooms and fitness center to the tennis court, spa and outdoor living and dining areas. The showstopper for adults is a pool (with pool bar) that stretches along Dickwella Beach; for kids, it’s a children’s pool with a waterslide.

The villa’s open-sided pavilions take their cues from traditional Southeast Asian architecture, while the interiors were designed by Reda Amalou and Parisian firm AW2 to combine classic silhouettes with contemporary pieces, all in luxe finishes. Vaulted ceilings and crisp white upholstery give the living spaces a breezy, open feel, but rich, warm wood floors, ceilings and furnishings anchor them. Though chef service is included, the villa does have a fully equipped kitchen.

The seven bedrooms at Villa Divia are spread out over three pavilions; each bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom. One pavilion has four bedrooms (two on the ground floor and two upstairs), the second has two bedrooms and the third has one bedroom. Like the common living pavilions, the bedrooms feature inviting tones of wood and white, and the light-filled bathrooms have spa-worthy stone tile. If you’re flying to Mawella Lagoon Airport, it’s a 14 km drive to the villa; from Mattala International Airport, it’s a 89 km trip to Villa Divia. Once you’ve arrived, you’re just steps from Dickwella Beach, a 9-minute drive from Dickwella Market and a 14-minute drive from the town of Gandara.
