A little sea-blue gate and a short flight of stone steps take you down into the heart of the compound. There, you are immediately wowed with a sweeping vista of the little town of Gustavia, its iconic harbor, and the ocean beyond.

A kitchen worthy of a layout in a home-design magazine, includes an island, an adjacent dining table, and the sweetest breakfast nook ensconced in a grotto. A porticoed terrace meanders around a charming as-can-be courtyard. A Tamarind tree sits in its center strung with a handful of artfully constructed little birdhouses. Just beyond, an extra-long infinity pool beckons, and there’s a pretty gazebo for shade-seekers. And, oh that view! The sunsets here are glorious and at night Gustavia’s lights are magical. The super-yachts moored in the harbor for the holidays add to the glamour and festive spirit.

A spacious, beautifully decorated living room is perfect for relaxing, TV viewing, board games, or convivial conversation. The décor throughout is Caribbean-elegant with antiques mixed with unique pieces, eye-catching art, and comfy sofas and ottomans. Crisp white plays of the gleaming dark wood and sea-blue accents—here a bright blue wooden chair, there, cerulean cushions, and pillows. Olivier doesn’t let you forget you are in the French West Indies and gives a nod to the past.

Simple stone paths connect terraces, another little courtyard, and the four privately situated bedrooms. The master suite encompasses a full-size separate living room, a 4 poster, draped king bed, and its own triangular-shaped deck with sunbeds. Two guest bedrooms, also with king 4 poster beds, have separate sitting areas and well-appointed en suite baths; one of them, has both an inside and outside shower.

A separate cottage with a queen bed has its own covered terrace. It has a private bath (with a soaking tub) in a separate bungalow "right-next-door." The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and guests are delighted to find an olive tree, for which the villa is named.
