This fantastic place, part of the Bukit Peninsula, took its name from the Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of the 9 major temples found in Bali. The Pura Luhur Uluwatu stands on a cliff of 70 meters from the sea, boasting views that will simply take your breath away. The beaches of Uluwatu are some of the most scenic and beautiful of the island, with crystal blue waters, white, fine sand and rocky scenery. Some are more challenging in terms of access because of the cliffs, but they will certainly reward you once you reach them. Uluwatu beach is very popular among experienced surfers because of the high waves, and also has a hill from where you can admire spectacular ocean views. The Green Bowl beach is also lovely for swimming for hours while in stunning Dreamland beach you can admire the magnificent view and the higher waves. Finally Padang Padang beach will impress you with its gigantic rocks coming out of the water. Lastly, another exciting experience is the cruise by speedboat along the coast leading from Nusa Dua to Uluwatu.
